GURNEE, Ill. (AP) - Two children were thrown from a sport utility vehicle that struck a median wall on Interstate 94 in northern Illinois, and one of them has died.
Illinois State Police say the accident happened Saturday morning near Gurnee. No other vehicles were involved. Four adults and three children were inside the SUV.
Two boys, ages 10 and 11, were thrown from the back window, and one of them died.
The other two children and the four adults were hospitalized.
State police say the cause is under investigation.
