FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers are investigating a case of waste after two black bear carcasses were found without any of the edible meat salvaged.

The Daily News-Miner reports (https://bit.ly/1F2wVVC ) that two skinned black bear carcasses were found discarded on Thursday at a transfer site in North Pole.

State hunting regulations require hunters to salvage meat from bears killed between January and May.
