WASHINGTON (AP) - Gas prices in the D.C. metro area are up 4 cents from a week ago.

AAA said Friday that the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $2.67, up from $2.63 a week ago. The price is 99 cents lower than this time a year ago, when the price was $3.66.

The price of gas in the metro area is 7 cents below the national average of $2.74.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in the District of Columbia alone is $2.81, up 4 cents from a week ago.
