LAS VEGAS (AP) - A dispute at a Las Vegas apartment complex has left a woman dead and a 21-year-old man in jail on suspicion of murder.
Police say 21-year-old Nathanael Martinez was arrested after the woman’s body was found inside his apartment Thursday evening.
Investigators say the dispute occurred after Martinez invited the woman to his home.
He was booked into the Clark County jail on one count of open murder.
The victim’s name and cause of death weren’t immediately released.
KLAS-TV of Las Vegas reports police encountered the suspect outside the apartment and took him into custody, then discovered the woman’s body in a bathtub.
The suspect allegedly told a police dispatcher the woman demanded money after they had sex and a fight ensued after she pulled a knife on him.
