CULLMAN, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say an inmate who escaped from the Cullman County jail has been recaptured.

Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry tells WVTM-TV (https://bit.ly/1Rd8bTk ) 37-year-old Joshua Lay of Vinemont was found Saturday afternoon in Randolph County. Gentry says Lay’s 33-year-old girlfriend Nona Faye Baker of Clay County was also captured. Baker is accused of picking Lay up from the county detention center after he escaped.

Authorities say Baker is also facing charges linked to Lay’s escape.
