LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) - A Lewiston man charged with knifing his drinking partner to death will be held in jail without bond.
The Lewiston Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1F2R1zb ) Patrick James Nuxoll was arraigned Friday, the day after he told police his friend had committed suicide at his home.
The 53-year-old Nuxoll is charged with first-degree murder in the death of David W. Cramer. His next hearing is June 1.
Investigators say Nuxoll met police at his house covered in blood. Cramer’s body was slumped in a living room chair, covered in lacerations, a knife by his feet. Blood covered the walls and ceiling.
Nuxoll told police he and Cramer had drunk vodka, and when he woke up his friend was dead. But he also allegedly said, “I hope I didn’t kill Dave, but if I did, I’m sorry.”
