NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Authorities say a 36-year-old man is in serious condition after being struck by a car in Newark.

Paramedics in New Castle County were called to the 600 block of South College Avenue around 2 a.m. Saturday for a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a car. When they arrived, they found the man had possible head and internal injuries.

The man was taken to a hospital in serious condition. Police are investigating.
