NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - Police are investigating the report of an attempted kidnapping of a 12-year-old boy in Nashua.

The boy told police that a man grabbed his wrist and tried to forcibly walk him from Lake Street toward Balcom Street on Friday afternoon.

Authorities say the boy broke free and flagged down a passer-by who then called police.

The man was described as possibly being in his 30s and wearing a hood over his head, sunglasses, a gray sweatshirt and ripped jeans.

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area around that time is asked to contact the Nashua Police Department at 603-594-3500.
