Suspect arrested in stabbing death of man outside store

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Police have arrested a suspect in the stabbing death of a man outside a Providence convenience store.

WPRI-TV (https://bit.ly/1ArtBaT ) reports that 52-year-old Araya Brinkley of Providence was arrested early Saturday morning in the death of the 41-year-old man. The man, whose name was not released, was stabbed multiple times; he died later at a hospital.

Police Lt. Richard Fernandez tells the television station that Brinkley fled the scene on a bicycle, was later stopped and had a bloody knife on him.
