CHICKASHA, Okla. (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for northwestern Grady County in central Oklahoma.

Forecasters issued the warning shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday after a confirmed tornado was sighted west of Pocasset moving northeast at 20 mph. Forecasters say the warning will remain in effect until 5:45 p.m.

A tornado watch is also in effect for parts of southwestern Oklahoma and central Oklahoma.

Flash flood watches and warnings are in effect across Oklahoma as thunderstorms move across the state.

Between 2 and 5 inches of rainfall with locally higher amounts are possible through Monday morning in western, central and southern Oklahoma. Rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches will be common in eastern Oklahoma, with locally higher amounts that may approach 10 inches.
