NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities say two people were killed and another critically injured in a vehicle crash on Interstate 40 in the Nashville metro area.

Media reports say a vehicle overturned shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday in the eastbound lanes of I-40.

Police say the cause of the crash is unknown and under investigation.

Authorities say two people died and a third was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
