NICOSIA, Cyprus (AP) - APOEL Nicosia has won its third straight and 24th overall Cyprus league title after a 4-2 away win over Ermis Aradipou on Sunday.

Needing a point for the championship, the club also clinched its first consecutive double in its 88-year history after the team beat AEL Limassol, also 4-2, in the cup final.

With 24 championships and 21 Cup wins, APOEL has the most titles of any team in Cyprus.

APOEL gained a spot in the Champions League group stage for the third time in its history, but the season also saw two different coaches come and go.
