BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP) - Boca Juniors slumped to a 3-0 loss Sunday against mid-table Aldosivi, playing in their La Bombonera stadium without fans as part of a punishment for fan violence in a recent Copa Libertadores match.

Boca kept a share of the first-division lead with 28 points.

Matias Lequi, Roger Martinez and Angel Vildozo scored for Aldosivi.

In other Sunday results, Racing beat Independiente 1-0, Argentinos Juniors downed Newell’s 2-1 and Godoy defeated Belgrano 1-0.

Cristian Gomez, a player with Argentine club Atletico Parana, died Sunday after collapsing during a second-division match. The cause of death was not immediately reported.

The defender is the second player to die in just under two weeks in Argentina. Emanuel Ortega, a player for fourth-division team San Martin de Burzaco, died after hitting his head on a post used to support fencing at the stadium.
