NICEVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” actor from Florida’s Panhandle says he’s looking forward to showcasing new talents in a prime-time variety show.
Alan Ritchson of Santa Rosa Beach is one of five celebrities featured in the NBC series “I Can Do That,” premiering Tuesday. Each week, the cast will put on entertainment acts with the help of guest stars such as acrobats and magicians.
In one episode, the Niceville High School graduate will perform with the Blue Man Group. Ritchson tells the Northwest Florida Daily News (https://bit.ly/1cUPMeQ ) that the show pushed him out of his comfort zone but also was “one of the most fun experiences I have ever had in show business.”
Ritchson played Raphael in last year’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” reboot. He’s now filming the sequel.
