DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say a man riding a bicycle has been struck and killed in an apparent hit-and-run in Durham,

Police say someone called 911 around 6:15 a.m. Sunday and officers found the dead man and his bicycle in a ditch. The victim’s name has not been released.

Investigators say evidence at the scene has led them to think the man was hit by a black vehicle that drove away without calling authorities.

The man was found on Angier Avenue, a two-lane road that runs parallel to train tracks in east Durham.
