MILES CITY, Mont. (AP) - An 18-year-old Miles City man is charged with attempted deliberate homicide in the stabbing of another man at a Miles City residence.

Police Chief Doug Colombik told the Miles City Star (https://bit.ly/1cad1Rm) that Tristen Peters was arrested at a street dance in Miles City on May 16.

Prosecutors accuse Peters of stabbing Justin Pittman in the chest and hand on May 13. Pittman was treated at Holy Rosary Health Care and released four days later.

Peters made an initial appearance in Custer County Justice Court on May 18, where his bail was set at $75,000. He remained jailed on Friday. Justice Court had no attorney on record for Peters.

Peters’ preliminary hearing in District Court is set for June 12.
