COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A weeklong forestry and wildlife conservation camp for teens will be held in eastern Ohio.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says the camp will be June 7 through June 12 at FFA Camp Muskingum on Leesville Lake in Carroll County. The department’s forestry and wildlife divisions support the camp sponsored by the nonprofit Ohio Forestry Association Foundation.

Camp programs will include tree identification, ecology, invasive species and forest industries among other topics.

Department officials say the camp is in its 65th year and has opened doors for teens’ careers in a number of natural resource-related fields.

Students scoring the highest on a comprehensive exam at the end of camp compete for college scholarships to Hocking College, Ohio State University and Ohio University.
