TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Ohio transportation officials are laying out plans to replace a busy bridge on Interstate 75 that leads into downtown Toledo.
The state says work on the bridge is scheduled to start in 2019 and will take four years to complete.
The bridge sits just south of downtown Toledo near the city’s casino and crosses the Maumee (maw-MEE’) River.
Ohio officials say the project is estimated to cost $225 million.
The Blade (https://bit.ly/1JA39xU ) newspaper in Toledo reports that about a dozen homes may need to be demolished to make way for the new bridge project.
The work also will include relocating a dangerous on-ramp onto I-75.
