PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) - Peoria police have arrested a man they believe drunkenly hit another vehicle, causing it to crash into a home.

Authorities said Sunday they used license plate information from witnesses to track down 25-year-old Venancio Silva-Ramirez.

Police say Silva-Ramirez is suspected of driving his truck too fast Saturday afternoon and losing control.

They say his truck struck a car. The subsequent impact caused the car to hit a house and break a gas line.

Silva-Ramirez allegedly fled the scene.

Police say nobody in the home was hurt and firefighters turned off the gas.

Investigators were able to locate Silva-Ramirez at a home in Glendale and arrest him without incident.

He is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, hit and run and criminal damage.
