BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) - Police in Brockton say five men were injured by gunfire that erupted as a bar let out for the night.

Police Lt. Kenneth LaGrice told the Enterprise of Brockton that police were called to Dino’s Bar for a report of gunshots at about 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The victims were taken to hospitals in Brockton and Boston. LaGrice said at least one suffered serious injuries but was expected to survive.

No arrests were immediately reported.

LaGrice said detectives were collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.

There have been several shooting incidents in the city in recent days, including one last week in which a stray bullet went through the side of a home and lodged in the ceiling of a bedroom where two young girls were sleeping. They were not hurt.
