EAST POINT, Ga. (AP) - Police are investigating the suspicious death of a security guard found with a gunshot wound south of Atlanta.
East Point police say they’re treating the Sunday death as a homicide until they can determine otherwise.
East Point police Capt. Cliff Chandler said authorities responded to a business on Willingham Drive around 6 a.m. Sunday and found a deceased man with a gunshot wound inside a white SUV that was wedged next to a building. Police identified the man as 32-year-old Antonio Spear of Atlanta.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://on-ajc.com/1IXLCPz) that authorities believe Spear had been working as a security guard at the nearby Tri-Cities Plaza shopping center.
Few other details were immediately available Sunday.
