LIVERPOOL, England (AP) - Tottenham qualified for the Europa League after beating Everton 1-0 in the Premier League on Sunday, with Harry Kane scoring the winner with his 21st goal in a breakthrough season.

The England striker headed in a cross by Eric Dier in the 24th minute at Goodison Park to finish the season with 31 goals in all competitions. Kane started the campaign as a back-up striker at Spurs but is now one of the country’s top young talents.

Tottenham leapfrogged Liverpool into fifth place and is back in Europe’s second-tier club competition.

Everton finished in 11th place and outside the top 10 in the Premier League for the first time since 2006.
