KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - A former Bullhead City police sergeant will go to trial on sexual assault charges in December.

The Mohave Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1Lx3kcu) that Coconino County prosecutors and a defense attorney for Jesse Samuel Hoag met last week to discuss a tentative trial date.

Hoag faces two counts of sexual assault.

The 11-year veteran police officer is accused of taking a student from Mohave Community College, where he taught a class, to a Laughlin bar in October 2014 and then assaulting her in a parking lot.

Las Vegas police arrested Hoag a month later for attempted sexual assault. They say he attacked a woman two weeks earlier in a vehicle outside a Laughlin bar.

Hoag is currently out on bond and in the process of moving to California.
