WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) - West Point officials are telling the school’s Hudson Valley neighbors that cadet training this summer might get noisy sometimes.

The U.S. Military Academy says nearby residents might occasionally hear summer training activities this month through August. That includes artillery firing, weapons training and demolitions.

Residents also can expect to see and hear low-flying helicopters, especially during air assault school, for most of the first three weeks of June.
