LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 46-year-old western New York man has been killed after being thrown from the all-terrain vehicle he was riding.
Lewiston Police say David Cleveley lost control of his ATV in a friend’s backyard and was ejected from the machine around 1 a.m. Sunday. Cleveley hit his head on a piece of equipment in the yard and suffered severe head trauma.
WGRZ-TV in Buffalo reports (https://on.wgrz.com/1LuYWtT ) that emergency responders declared him dead at the scene when they arrived.
The victim was visiting friends with his wife when the accident happened. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.
No charges have been filed.
