NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities say a driver has died and a backseat passenger is critically injured following a crash on the Belt Parkway in East New York, Brooklyn.
Police say the car crashed into a sign pole as the driver tried to take an exit around 1:15 a.m. Monday.
The Wall Street Journal (https://on.wsj.com/1FQkP8H ) says the back seat passenger suffered a head injury. A 19-year-old woman who was riding in the front seat was in stable condition with leg and hip injuries.
