LONE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a Louisiana man is lucky to be alive after falling about 50 feet from a bluff at a national forest in Arkansas.
Lone Rock Volunteer Fire Department Chief Dale Bonnett tells the Baxter Bulletin (https://bit.ly/1IUis3K ) the man slipped and fell Friday in the Sylamore District of Ozark National Forest. He broke bones in his arm, leg and face.
The 23-year-old man’s name wasn’t released and his condition is unclear. A call to the department by the Associated Press on Monday wasn’t immediately returned.
Bonnett says the victim was with a group of men who were camping. He says another man in the group is a Baton Rouge firefighter and stabilized the victim until responders arrived.
