PENSACOLA NAVAL AIR STATION, Fla. (AP) - The sailors at Pensacola Naval Air Station in the Florida Panhandle will mark Memorial Day with a special ceremony.

The Pensacola base was the nation’s first Naval Air Station, and it is home of the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron.

Events will begin Monday morning at the All Faiths Chapel on the base.

Base commander Capt. Keith Hoskins and Lawrence Herrin of the Gulf Coast Veterans Association are among the scheduled speakers.
