Maine forest rangers and fire department officials have been busy battling wind-driven wildfires across the state.
Forest rangers and Caribou firefighters were battling a 5-acre fire on Monday in northern Maine. To the east, rangers were battling a similar-sized fire near Deblois in Washington County.
In southern Maine, some Windham firefighters had to pull out of the Memorial Day Parade to battle a two-alarm brush fire.
Rangers say the state entire state remains at high risk of wildfires because of strong gusts and dry conditions.
