HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Huntsville police are investigating after a man was hit and killed by a train.

Local media report the train hit the man around 2 a.m. Monday north of the Oakwood and Davidson crossing. WHNT-TV reports that the man was in his late 20s or early 30s, but no name was immediately available.

Police shut down Oakwood Avenue for a while to investigate, but it has been reopened.
