DEKALB, Ill. (AP) - A 50-year-old northern Illinois man has died after a train struck him in DeKalb.
A statement from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says Matthew T. Halverson was pronounced dead at the scene around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
The brief statement offered few details. The DeKalb resident’s death is being investigated by the DeKalb police and the DeKalb County Coroner’s Office. But the statement says no foul play is suspected.
