BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A Meridian man police say might have been involved in the kidnapping of a 19-year-old woman has been taken into custody.
KTVB-TV reports that Boise police on Sunday morning arrested 31-year-old Quentin Craig Padilla and booked him into the Ada County Jail.
He’s facing seven felony charges that include aggravated assault, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and possession of a controlled substance.
Southwest Idaho police started investigating May 12 after witnesses reported seeing a woman being beaten and forced into a vehicle.
A Nampa police officer briefly chased a black Lincoln Navigator, but the pursuit was called off due to speeds that created a hazard to the public.
