BETHEL, Alaska (AP) - Authorities say a woman’s body has been found in a Bethel park.

The Bethel Police Department says witnesses reported the body early Sunday near Pinky’s Park Boardwalk.

Police found the woman’s remains in the bushes. Bethel public radio station KYUK (https://ow.ly/Npsg1 ) reports police say the body has what appears to be multiple stab wounds but the cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office in Anchorage.

Police on Monday identified the woman as 23-year-old Eunice Whitman. Police say her boyfriend is a suspect and is in custody.

Bethel Police ask anyone with information to contact them.
