UNION, Mo. (AP) - A 34-year-old man has been found dead in the eastern Missouri town of Union, and authorities believe he shot a woman before turning the gun on himself.
Mitchell Ham died Tuesday morning of what police call an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The unidentified woman is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting happened at about 2 a.m. at a home in Union, a Franklin County town about 50 miles southwest of St. Louis.
Police say Ham and the woman were involved in a domestic dispute before the shooting.
