ATHENS, Greece (AP) - Greek club AEK Athens has returned to the country’s top soccer league, two years after financial collapse sent it to a lower league.

One of the country’s largest clubs, AEK sealed its second consecutive promotion with a 1-0 win over Iraklis on a 59th-minute goal from Dimitris Anakoglou.

AEK coach Traianos Dellas said he would remain at the club, describing its promotion as a “return to the light” for the fans.

Clubs in Greece’s second division are currently playing promotion playoffs, and AEK has four games remaining.
