ALTA VISTA, Iowa (AP) - An 84-year-old man has died after suffering critical injuries when the golf cart he was driving collided with a van near his driveway in Alta Vista.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1F7ZsJr ) that Marvel Erion died Saturday at St. Marys Hospital at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, after first being treated at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton. The collision happened Thursday evening.
Chickasaw County sheriff’s deputies say Erion was pulling out of his driveway when his cart collided with the van driven by a 40-year-old Minnesota resident.
The five people in the van were not hurt.
