ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police are investigating a string of cellphone robberies near college campuses.
WSB-TV (https://bit.ly/1dunIzM) reports authorities are investigating at least three incidents outside Atlanta University Center, which is made up of Spelman College, Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University. Victims say in each case a group of young people drove up and asked to borrow a cellphone before pulling a gun and taking it.
Another student told police a young woman drove up and asked to use his phone on Parsons Street. When he handed it over, a man in the back seat pulled a gun and the car took off.
In April, police say two men robbed a student of his cellphone, book bag and wallet.
No one was hurt in the incidents, which police believe could be connected.
