CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The recent cool, wet weather in Wyoming has slowed melting of the state’s mountain snowpack.

The Natural Resources Conservation Service says the statewide snowpack level this past week actually increased from 65 percent of median the week before to 92 percent.

The Sweetwater, Upper and Lower North Platte, Laramie, Wind River, Upper Green and Powder River basins particularly benefited from the recent weather pattern.

Only the Madison and Yellowstone river basins saw a drop in snowpack levels during the week.
