CASSELTON, N.D. (AP) - Authorities say a crop dusting plane crashed near a small eastern North Dakota airport after hitting a power line, injuring the pilot.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 4:20 p.m. Monday in a farm field about a mile south of Casselton Airport. The agency says the 70-year-old pilot was taken by ambulance to a hospital, but did not disclose the pilot’s condition.

The highway patrol says the plane was totaled. The crash is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Casselton Airport is about 22 miles west of Fargo.
