GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Police say a man driving with a walking boot crashed his vehicle into a crowd outside a Glendale restaurant, injuring two women.
Glendale police say the driver was attempting to pull into a handicapped parking spot near the front entrance of Oregano’s Pizza Bistro on Monday night.
They say the 58-year-old man from Peoria had a walking boot on his right foot.
Investigators are trying to determine if he was medically fit to drive and if he had any other impairment at the time.
Police say a 59-year-old woman remains in critical condition with a badly injured leg that wasn’t severed.
They say a 30-year-old woman is in stable condition with a large laceration on her lower body.
Neither women’s name was released Tuesday nor the name of the driver.
