BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) - Manatee County sheriff’s deputies say a Bradenton eatery was burglarized and $3,000 was stolen from a safe.

The Bradenton Herald (https://bit.ly/1cXlMPl ) reports SweetBerries Eatery, a sandwich, salad and frozen custard shop, was broken into over the weekend. Deputies say someone broke a bathroom window and pried the restaurant’s safe from the floor.

Owner Mike Osmond says he won’t be able to access the camera footage from the security system until Tuesday, and when he’s able to obtain the footage, he will turn it over to deputies.

Osmond says he’ll board up the windows. He also plans to add extra cameras and security measures and change the way the restaurant handles money.
