BOSTON (AP) - The price of a gallon of gasoline has jumped 3 cents in Massachusetts in the past week.

AAA Northeast said Tuesday that its weekly survey found self-serve, regular selling for $2.66 per gallon.

Even though that is 3 cents higher than last week and 12 cents higher than a month ago, it is 8 cents per gallon lower than the current national average and 99 cents lower than the in-state price from a year ago.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $2.53 per gallon to as high as $2.89.
