EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - Drivers might have a tough time not crossing this yellow line.

The Washington state Department of Transportation says a malfunctioning striper truck left a thick line of yellow paint down the middle of the southbound carpool lane on Interstate 5 near Everett on Tuesday. It happened around noon when a hose on the truck broke.

The DOT said workers planned to paint over the errant line with black paint during the day Wednesday.
