FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - Police say a 46-year-old South Florida man is dead following a weekend boating accident.
Fort Lauderdale police Sgt. DeAnna Greenlaw says Anthony Brown of Coral Springs was attempting to secure his boat to a dock when he fell into the water on late Sunday. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Divers found his body in about 150-feet from where he was last seen. He was initially listed in critical condition when he was taken to Broward Health Medical Center.
The Sun Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1IXK5ut ) reports the man’s family told rescuers that the boat became disabled as they tried to bring it to the boat ramp.
Police are investigating but don’t suspect foul play.
