COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - The man who was shot and wounded by a sheriff’s deputy at a Hobby Lobby in Colorado Springs has been released from a hospital and booked into jail.
The Gazette reports (https://goo.gl/Qo1nQF ) 48-year-old Brian Lowe, of Colorado Springs, was arrested on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder for the May 8 shooting.
Investigators have said Lowe was an escaped prisoner and was wielding a knife when he was shot by an El Paso County sheriff’s deputy. The deputy was placed on administrative leave but has since returned to work.
Witnesses said they heard two shots, and then a third after a pause. They said they ran out of the store when they realized it was gunfire.
Booking documents do not indicate if Lowe has hired an attorney.
