ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) - A 16-year-old girl charged with first-degree murder in her father’s slaying has pleaded guilty.

Morgan Arnold of Ellicott City entered her plea Tuesday in Howard County Circuit Court. She had been accused of plotting with her boyfriend to kill 58-year-old Dennis Lane.

The Baltimore Sun reports (https://bsun.md/1Ev8dg4) Arnold, who was tried as an adult, faces the possibility of a life sentence. Sentencing is set for Aug. 28.

Prosecutors dropped other charges, including solicitation of murder, as part of the plea agreement.

In July, 21-year-old Jason Bulmer was sentenced to 30 years in prison for stabbing Lane in his daughter’s bedroom on May 10, 2013.
