ELLIOTTSVILLE, Maine (AP) - Maine game wardens say two campers who went missing in Elliottsville have been located alive.

Cpl. John MacDonald says 40-year-old Michael Chapman and 38-year-old Kelli MacFarlin were found at midday Tuesday, a day after they were last seen moving supplies after camping out with six other people. He says the two apparently became lost when they followed the wrong trail back to their vehicles and were about two miles away from their campsite at Little Wilson Falls when located.

MacDonald says the two and their supplies never made it to the parking lot on Monday. They were reported missing about 4 p.m. that day. The Maine Forest Service, Monson Fire Department and a Maine Army National Guard Lakota helicopter assisted in searching.

Elliottsville is east of Monson in Piscataquis County.
