Police: 17-year-old boy killed in Burlington park shooting

BURLINGTON, Wash. (AP) - Police say a 17-year-old boy is dead following a shooting at a park in the Skagit County city of Burlington.

KIRO-TV reports (https://is.gd/zn7ys8 ) that neighbors reported about a half-dozen shots at Maiben Park at about 9 p.m. Monday. They told police they saw multiple men running from the scene.

The boy was taken to a hospital in Sedro-Woolley, where he was pronounced dead.

Burlington Police Lt. Bob Wischhusen said some potential witnesses have been uncooperative.
