LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says an 8-year-old child has been injured after being struck by a car at a bus stop.

Capt. Carl Minden tells KTHV-TV (https://bit.ly/1J2kEGG ) the child was stuck before 7 a.m. Tuesday along Colonel Glenn Road in Little Rock. He says the child was taken to the hospital with unspecified injures but that they didn’t seem to be severe.

Minden says the driver failed to stop for the bus. The driver was ticketed for careless driving and failure to yield to a school bus. No arrests were reported.

Neither the driver nor the child was identified.
