ANNADA, Mo. (AP) - A sheriff says a homeowner in northeastern Missouri’s Pike County acted in self-defense when she shot and killed a man last weekend.
The Hannibal Courier-Post (https://bit.ly/1Bn8mCp) reports that 38-year-old Clinton Dorsett Collins was shot as many as four times Saturday night and died at the scene of the home near 30-resident Annada, about 65 miles northwest of St. Louis.
No additional details have been released, but Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte said in a statement Sunday that the homeowner apparently acted in self-defense.
Korte says the investigation is continuing.
An autopsy on Collins is planned for Wednesday in Columbia, Missouri.
